DACHS Is Hiring A Bilingual Part-Time Office Coordinator!
Would you like to be part of a team that supports pets and families in our community? The Doña Ana County Humane Society (DACHS) is currently hiring an energetic, part-time Office Coordinator. By being a part of the DACHS team, you will make a difference by helping to administer programs that keep people and pets together such as our Animal Relief Fund program (vouchers for veterinary care assistance for low-income families), Ruff to Ready program (training program for shelter dogs who need extra help adjusting to their new homes), and the Pets for Seniors program (adoption sponsorship program for seniors age 60+ who adopt from the local municipal shelter).
DACHS Office Coordinator Responsibilities:
The part-time DACHS Office Coordinator will be an important part of the team and assist in providing services to clients that support animal welfare initiatives in Doña Ana County. The office coordinator will assist in handling the day-to-day administrative tasks such as: greeting clients; facilitating phone and email communications in relation to DACHS programs; managing office clerical tasks such as filing and organizing; assist in processing and qualifying clients for DACHS programs; managing, sorting and preparing incoming and outgoing mail; help with the administrative duties related to special events and fundraisers; assist with in-person fundraising events, as needed; assist in coordinating and organizing a DACHS volunteer program; other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Candidate must possess high-school diploma or GED
Have computer experience (preferably proficient in Microsoft Office)
Possess excellent customer service skills
Preference for Candidates With the Following:
Experience using office equipment such as copy machines, scanners, phone systems, etc.
Candidates who are organized and detail-oriented
Candidates who are outstanding communicators both verbally and written
Proficient in Spanish
Prior experience working in office administration or customer service/hospitality management
